1. What I want to get regarding information technologies

Here I include:
- What are the best technologies to promote online conversations and discussions either synchronous or asynchronous?
- What are the features that one has to take into account when evaluating technologies for these purpose?
- What are the differences and best options to create communities or groups that promote discussion and critical reflection?

- To experience, as a student, the dynamics of a community/course and see examples of good facilitating practice.

2. What I plan to learn about facilitating and online communities or groups

-Best practices in online facilitation?

The first thing I have to say is that open courses attract so many people that the conversation becomes difficult to follow. As G. Siemens said, we have to accept the fact that we'll miss bits of information, and that's OK.
Anyway, I can't help to wish I had more time to read everyting.

Well, the fact that English is not my first language is a problem for me, too. I can't read as fast as I would like and I'm constantly checking new words in the dictionary. I hope this online interaction in English will help me improve my written skills.

Hola Violeta!
I repeat that to myself every day, one day I'll come to accept it as inevitable. Here is where we see the value of network.
Vas a escribir toooodo en inglés y en español?

Hola Gabriela!
Well, I quit translating. It takes too much time. And, since it was a translation from the English ideas, the Spanish part wasn't great as it should be...
The thing is that I have a mixture in my head. I use English mostly to communicate online, during the day I speak only Spanish (I teach basic conversational English to low English proficiency students so... I don't get to really mantain a fluent conversation)
Well, thanks for stopping by my blog :)

And about GS's prhase, well, it's difficult... I don't know if I have control issues XD but I want to have all the information in one place so I can take notes, think about things, sleep through ideas, and try to comprehend everything... I guess it has to do with the deeply-rooted idea that knowledge is produced in my brain and not outside it.
Going back to Siemens, that the part of connectivism that is most difficult to understand for me. How canknoledge be produced ouside people's brains? :S
